Prat de Comte is the gateway to the Massif dels Ports, a spectacular natural space. We want to highlight some of the places that, due to their beauty, are essential for those people who decide to enjoy the nature that surrounds Prat de Comte. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in Catalonia are the Ports of Tortosa-Beseit. The Parc Natural dels Ports   extends to the Catalan area of the Ports mountains, a massif that exceeds the limits of the Terres de l’Ebre and goes into the provinces of Teruel (Aragón) and Castelló (Valencian Community) . These ranges stand out for the richness of the fauna and flora that live there, highlighting the presence of the Hispanic goat and the beech populations. In addition, the geological formations draw a characteristic landscape unique to Catalonia. Where, for example, you can find: -Les Roques de Benet, located in the center of the entire set of mountains and separated from Horta by a large plain, the Roques de Benet are a point of reference in Terra Alta. Impressive rocks that are one of the most emblematic mountain formations in the Natural Park; -Els Estrets d’Arnes, this is one of the most unique places in the Ports, ideal for lovers of hiking and climbing. The Via verda de la Terra Alta, where you can go on foot, by bike or on horseback, takes advantage of the section in the region of Terra Alta of the old route of the Val de Zafán Railway, and travels through spectacular places around the Serra de Pándols and the Ports de Tortosa-Beseit natural park Prat de Compte Station is located on the old railway line of the Val de Zafán, today Via Verda, very close to the Fontcalda Spa Sanctuary.
